Track Re-engagement

Traditionally when a lead is created, the contact method and source are based on that individual's first interaction with the club. If that person contacts the club again, they will be shown as a duplicate lead notification. As a result, automated items will not be sent for these duplicate leads.

However, you can give people another chance to engage with your club with the Track Re-engagement feature. Tracking re-engagement gives you more accurate reporting and ensures that automated items trigger the appropriate marketing campaigns. You can determine the number of days to track a re-engagement for your club.

For example:

  • The number of days to Track Re-engagement is set to 28 days.
  • John Smith contacts the club on August 4, 2021 and again on August 30, 2021. The second contact is considered to be a duplicate since it occurred less than 28 days from John's first contact.
  • However, Mary Jones contacts the club on August 2, 2021 and again on August 31, 2021. The second contact is treated as a re-engagement since it occurred more than 28 days from Mary's first contact.

Set Number of Days to Track Re-engagement

To set the number of days to track a re-engagement for your club, go to Company Settings > General Settings > Club Settings. In the Track a re-engagement after x days field (shown below), enter the desired number of days to track re-engagement for your club. If a person contacts the club again after the set number of days, they are treated as a new lead rather than a duplicate.

Note: This option is active and is set to 0 by default. If the field is left blank, this option will be disabled. If you have any questions, please contact GymSales Technical Support by email at [email protected].

Automated Items

When editing automated items, if you select the option to Allow item to trigger again on re-engaged leads (shown below) and someone contacts the club again after the specified number of days to track a re-engagement, that person is treated as a new lead rather than a duplicate.
