Troubleshooting GymSales Dialer Issues

The GymSales Dialer is a powerful feature that allows you to call your leads from within the application. The following are common issues that can occur when attempting to use this feature and how to resolve them.

**Please ensure that you are using Google Chrome (and it is updated to the latest Chrome) with GymSales when utilizing this feature as the Dialer was created for and tested against Chrome. All other browsers are not supported for this feature. 


Issue: No Audio Through Headset

Before proceeding to the following steps for your Operating System, ensure that your system audio is not muted. 

Windows 7 - Set your Headphones as the Default Audio Output


1. Right-click the volume icon and then choose Playback devices

2. On the Playback tab, right-click the empty space and make sure that you have selected both of the options, Show Disconnected Devices and Show Disabled Devices


3. Find your headphones listed here and ensure there is a green icon on the corner of the device, your device is the default audio output device


4. If the icon here is grey, please right click it and choose  Enable and then set as the Default Device.

1. Right-click the volume icon and then choose  Sounds.

2. On the  Playback tab, right-click the empty space and make sure that you have selected both of the options, Show Disconnected Devices and Show Disabled Devices

3. Right-click on your headphones and select  Enabled if not already

4. Click OK to save the changes.

5  On the  Playback tab, right-click on your headphones and click Set default.

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu, System Preferences, click Sound, then click Output.

2. All sound output devices available to your Mac are listed, select the device you want to use in the list of sound output devices.

Issue: Headset Microphone Not working

Before proceeding to the following steps for your Operating System, ensure that your system mic is not muted


Windows 7 - Set Your Default Microphone

1. Right-click the volume icon and then choose  Playback Devices

2. On the Recording tab, right-click the empty space and make sure that you have selected both of the options Show Disconnected Devices and Show Disabled Devices

3. Now you will see a list of your recording devices. Try speaking into your microphone and look for the green bars rising while you talk. If you have seen green bars rising when you spoke, that means your microphone is properly configured

4. If your microphone does show green bars but you still can't capture your voice, make sure it's already your default device or do it yourself by right-clicking on it and then click Set as Default Device


Windows 10 - Set Your Default Microphone 

1. Right-click the volume icon and then choose  Sounds.

2. On the Recording tab, right-click the empty space and make sure that you have selected both of the options Show Disconnected Devices and Show Disabled Devices

3. Right-click on your headphones and select  Enabled if not already

5  On the Recording tab, right-click on your headphones and click Set default.

**Note: Windows 10 has privacy settings that can block Chrome's ability to use the microphone. Please use the following help document on Microphone Permissions in Windows 10 to assist with confirming this setting. 


MacOS - Set Your Default Microphone

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menuSystem Preferences, click Sound, then click Input.

2. Select the device you want to use in the list of sound input devices.

Google Chrome Site Settings

Chrome by default will prompt you for site permission to either allow or block the microphone from the site that is attempting to access it. If not prompted or the wrong setting was selected, use the below instruction to ensure that the appropriate permissions are in place for GymSales. 


Ensure Chrome is enabled to Prompt for Microphone Permission

1. Open Chrome Chrome.
2. At the top right, click on the 3 dots and then Settings.
3. Under Privacy and security, click Site settings.
4. Click Microphone.
5. Turn Ask before accessing on if not already enabled

Change the Site Permissions

1. Open Chrome and log onto GymSales https://login.gymsales.net/

2. Click on the "lock" icon within the address bar and select Site Settings

3. Ensure that Microphone and Sound are both set to Allow for GymSales
