United Kingdom Know Your Customer (KYC) Regulations
The United Kingdom's telecom regulator is introducing Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations, which are intended to help identify and block messages believed to be possible SMS and voice call fraud. Due to these regulations, we are required to gather new information about your business so that you can continue to send SMS through ABC GymSales beyond March 31, 2025.
We ask that you send the following information to [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can begin the verification process:
- Legal Business Name;
- Business Email;
- Business Address;
- Emergency Services Address (if different from the Business Address above);
- Your First Name;
- Your Last Name;
- Your Email Address;
- Your Phone Number (including the international code e.g. +44).
If your company is registered in the UK and you are not a sole proprietor, the following information is also required:
- Registration Authority (e.g. Companies House (CRN) or other);
- Company Registration Number;
- Business website or social media URL.
If your company is not a Companies House registration and you are not a sole proprietor, the following is required in addition to the above:
- An image or pdf (max 5MB) of your company registrar excerpt that proves registration in the UK.
Government institutions, hospitals, unregistered charities, and similar entities must provide an alternative identification number instead of a business registration number. In such cases, a letter on official letterhead stating the name and address of the institution or political party, signed by the organization's legal representative, will be accepted. Additionally, a registration number used for your entity (e.g., VAT) is still required.
If you are a sole proprietor, we also need the following information:
- Your Date of Birth;
- A copy of the photo page of your passport or other government-issued document;
- Proof of Address (government-issued ID showing local address, utility bill, tax notice, rent receipt, title deed).
Once this data has been provided to us, we will begin the verification process, enabling you to continue sending SMS after the new regulations are implemented.
